Why We Choose Goat Milk for Our Kids

goat milk for kids

When I was breastfeeding my daughter, there was a point when I had to have a minor surgery and couldn’t nurse for a couple days due to the meds I was on. My midwife suggested giving my daughter goat milk because it was easy to digest and closer to breastmilk in composition than cow milk. Since lactose intolerance runs in my family, I’ve always been really aware of the amount of cow dairy my children consume.

I avoided dairy when I was breastfeeding and when my children weaned I looked for a cow milk alternative for them. The goat milk options were extremely limited when my children first weaned with really only one brand for milk and no options for other goat milk products like yogurt, cheese, etc.

I was so thrilled when I heard about Kabrita goat milk yogurt pouches because, a.) my kids will eat anything in a pouch, b.) I love that they are getting protein and fiber without any added sugar or artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I wish I had had Kabrita goat milk formula when my kids were a bit younger!
